About
My background began in journalism, where my writing focused on reporting and editorial copy, then transitioned to learning more about public relations at Cal Poly, which was my declared concentration. Through my concentration, I was able to master public relations principles, build media kits, and create each document in a style compatible with the respective organizations for strategic communications.
I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I've focused on viewer accessibility for the organizations I've worked for. This includes Mustang News and the M-A Chronicle, where articles and social media posts were also available in Spanish to accommodate a larger audience.
Also serving as a resident advisor during my time at Cal Poly, I collaborated closely with other RAs to organize programming for 4 events per quarter, aligning with Cal Poly housing's "LEARN" model, which focuses on well-being and adjustment to college. For these events, I wrote and sent emails and GroupMe messages, created posters, managed event budgets, and ensured resident attendance.
Currently based in San Luis Obispo. Open to roles on the Central Coast, the Bay Area, Southern California (LA/San Diego), or remote.
